Lucas #402 EPDM Non-Slip Traffic Surfacing for walkways and applications where foot traffic is expected on Lucas #8000 Silicone Roof Coating. Lucas #402 EPDM granules may be embedded in the surface of the coating to provide a more durable and slip-resistant surface.

Application:

Mechanically mix the #8000 coating prior to application. Surface to be coated must be dry and free of dirt or corrosion particles. Gray #8000 coating is recommended for use with gray granules however white will also have a very good appearance. Apply coat of #8000 at a rate of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft. and immediately apply the granules at the rate of 15 lbs. per 100 square ft. Do not allow the coating to skin over or the granules will not adhere. More may be applied and vacuumed off after the coating cures. Vacuuming is recommended in order to remove all loose granules and avoid accumulation in gutters or drains. Over time the surface may wear and can be easily repaired or completely resurfaced with additional coating and granules.

Lucas #8000 cures through absorption of moisture from both the substrate and the air. Avoid entraining air when mixing. Cure time will be faster in humid conditions and on substrates that hold moisture such as concrete. Open and partially full containers will skin over quickly. If this occurs, remove the skins and continue using the remaining product.
